5-Year Globe Voyage Enough, Says Lone Skipper

MIAMI, Fla, May 21 (UP)— William T. Murnan, 56, said yesterday a five-year voyage around, the world in a 30-foot yawl is enough sailing for a lifetime. He! said he would look at the sights on shore from now on. 2 Mr. Murnan completed his globe-circling trip—most of the time he was alone—yesterday in Miami. He left Southern California more than five years ago with his wife. But she had to! leave him in Pago Pago in the South Seas due to illness. He claims the five-ton, 30-foot Seven Seas II is “the smallest boat ever to go around the world.” He said he encountered all kinds of weather and made the 5100-mile trip across the Indian Ocean during the hurricane season. : “My sails were ripped to shreds,” he said. “I sewed every-| thing together for sails except my blankets.”
