HOP-SCOTCH ON A SNAIL SMELL COURT

Toss Puck INTO YY MAREN — HoP ON

Children in many lands play Hop-scotch, but in some European countries they hop over a course unfamiliar to most of us. Shaped like the spiral in a snail shell, it can be just as much fun as our familiar pattern formed of squares and triangles. You might like to try this idea, too. A simple way to play Snail Hop-scotch would be to have the first player stand at the starting line and toss a puck (a block of wood, jar lid, or stone) into area No. 1, then hop on one foot and kick it across the line without stepping on the line. If the player is successful, he tosses into each space until he fails to throw the puck into the right area, or steps on a line, or fails to kick puck out of the course, or lof course, touches the floor with his other foot. - Each player tries to get through the course, but when he misses, he must wait until all of the players have had

their turn. The first to make all of the spaces wins,
