By HUBBARD COBB If you are « worthy type of home owner you'll be out next Saturday patching the cracks and holes in your concrete drives and walks. These openings should be patched because they are unsightly and also because they are something of a hazard to both ankles and automobile tires.

Step one.in this job is to cut out

the opening with a cold chisel so, that the sides are as nearly vertical as you can get them. Use a sharp cold chisel for this job because concrete drives are tough and don't cut ‘easily. Once the opening has been made, clean it out and wet down the sides. Now mix up your patch. ing concrete, If you wish, you can use ready mixed patching concrete that you can buy at any hardware store or you can mix your own—one part cement—two parts sand and three parts gravel.
