lke Rally Here Is Postponed
The entire program for the Indiana rally of Republican leaders supporting Gen. Eisenhower for President, which had been scheduled here tomorrow, has been postponed. Cancellation followed receipt of a telegram that U. 8. Sen. James Duff, Pennsylvania, who was scheduled as the principal speaker, had been stricken ill. Sen. Duff campaigned for Gen. Car Hits Both Front And Rear Porches
Hitting the front porch of house with a car is no simple trick. Tagging both the front and back porch is nearly impossible — but according to a police report today it can be done. Police - said Mrs. Georgia E. Harlan, 42, of 523 E. New: York 8t., did it last night to a house at 338 N. Noble St. Officers reported
her car climbed the curb and four-| foot embankment, struck the! front porch, bounced to the side]
of an adjoining house, knocked down a fence—then bounced back to the first house, hitting the back porch and stopping in the yard. In the process, a 12-inch thick stump was sheared off and fencing, railings and rainspout were strewn over the area. Mrs. Harlan was to appear in court today charged with drunkenness and failing to have an operator's license.

He said three teachers were replaced “as a matter of economy and administration” and that two others
resigned. In no case was ill will involved, Mr. Sipe said. ¥
