Yesterday, when he walked Into one of the formerly frequented places, he was greeted with, “What brings you out?” Mr. Barnett quickly explained, “All things ckawl out in the spring.” He's no egoist. . » » IF YOU'RE a smart male, you can keep all the women happy. At least, you can do so during Lent, Eddie Roberts, .5604 College Ave., has mastered this female ego inflatinggtechnique. Gathering information on girls who have given up beer for this 40day period, Mr. Roberts calls them constantly, (big rush), asking them out for a drink. The girls are flattered by the invitation, even though they can't go, and Mr. Roberts earns a favorable reputation at no cost outside a phone call. What happens after Lent though?

QUESTION: Is it true that if one drinks a great deal of liquid it will cause one to become heavy and fleshy? ANSWER: Plain water does not lead to the production of fat. Of course, If there fs sugar or other nutriment in the liquid, it can cause fat production. posed nude for an arty calendar three years ago because she was broke ‘and needed the $50. | The reaction was tolerant sympathy, and thousands of requests for the calendar. 5 Now the gossip columnists are needling the blonde beauty that her clothes are “atrocious and vulgar” and “Fox Studio ought to send her to a charm school so she’d learn how to dress.” 2 ” s “WOMEN ARE SO critical,” pouted Marilyn. “But men appreciate what I wear. I dress to please them. “1 like clothes with feeling. They're more interesting, Most women look at Harper's and Vogue. But that long and lean look is nbt my type. I'm the round type. “It all,” she explained, to do with nature. 5 ” » “I DON'T LIKE full skirts. | They're quite inorganic. Clothes | should follow the body line.” The frantic fuss over her fashions started when she appeared at various parties in two organic evening gowns, not at the same time. Both are red and Lillian Russell style. They are less than strapless and cling to every Monroe body line except for a flounce at the botitom. “Those gowns aren’t cheap,” she said indignantly. “The velvet dress was designed by Oleg Cassini and the lace by Christian Dior.” ’ Another Monroe trademark is a fresh flower that she sticks into her plunging neckline. This raises an eyebrow here and there, too. “It’s feminine,” said Marilyn in that soft, breathless voice. “See? 1 wear simple clothes. What are theycomplaining about?”
