1st Termite

ting out and around so your problem is to tell whether you are going to be troubled with termites or ants or maybe both. If you catch a termite and an ant and put them together you'll notice there is a considerable difference. Of course, you may not know which is which but that's a minor point. The termite reproductive has two pair of long wings that are sort of white and are of equal length and they are transparent. If you still aren't sure which is which, look at their bodies. The ant has a very. constricted .waistline. In fact ‘you might say it has almost no waist at all but the termite has a good healthy waistline,

Now just because you find termites swarming does not mean that your house is resdy to cave in. It takes a couple of termites several years to raise a family that's big enough to do much damage. On the other hand, swarming termites means that there are larger nests about some place and maybe you are or will be in for trouble. Painting Screens

Iron screening needs to be painted each year to keep it from rusting. If it’s not painted it won't last very long and while screening isn't very expensive it is a bother to install in the frames, Brush the screening clean with a soft brush, wipe it down with turpentine or benezine and then apply a coat of screen enamel or ordinary outside paint. Screen enamel is rather thin and can be applied easily enough without it clogging the holes in the screen. Outside paint should be thinnéd down with turpentine until it's thin enough not a cause
