The Rev. Reynolds’ performed 916 marriages before he retired in June, 1950, after 47 years in the Methodist ministry. In that
period he preached 2532 sermons, converted 2001 persons, baptized 1381 and received into the church 1859 persons. Rev. Reynolds and Elva Ruddick. both of Jackson County, Indiana, were married here by the Rev. W. V. Wheeler, who founded
the Wheeler City Rescue Mission
