Howard, 48—figured prominently today in former acitress Judith Barrett's divorce suit against the millionaire turfman, Mfs, Howard's charge that her husband was frequently intoxicated came in for a thorough working over during the trial yesiterday when his chauffeur, butler and houseboy, Bene .L. Greene, testified that Mr. Howard was a scotch-and-soda drinker, who liked his jiggers “doubled or more.” Th Mr. Greene told of a party the Howards gave for an Argentine polo team at their Ventura County ranch. He said 175 persons attended the party, and Mr. Howard fell while doing a hula dance.
