THE latest word in shopping clothes is pajamas rolled up above the coat hem worn with pumps, gloves and

hat.

Seen getting out of a late model convertible yester-

day on 38th St. was a wellpoised woman wearing a black Persian coat and all the accessories including a flowered hat. Ten minutes later, the same group awaiting a bus, saw this roman walking toward her sar. Only, this time, there was y slight modification in that she was carrying bags of groseries and one leg was covered ny what appeared to be striped pajamas. And she was still comnletely poised. Ignorance is bliss. o on " MOST WOMEN WILL BUY anything they think a store is losing money on, according to Bob Yount. And they'll proudly boast they've actually made a gain from the deal. (He includes his wife in this, too.) Mrs. Yount, who constantly reminds her husband of all the money she’s saved for them by past bargains, came up with a new way to double hubby's dollars (temporarily that is). It seems that last night, while the Younts were playing bridge, one of the men present confidentially told the roomful of people he knew of an investment that was a “sure double for your money.” Immediately, Mrs. Yount asked Bob for his wallet, emptied it, folded the money and put it away in her purse, saying, “We really aren't interested. The quickest way to double money in our family is to fold it over and put it away.” Does anyone know of an oncoming sale for Mrs. Yount to make an investment?

While in New Orleans, the Mortons, in an attempt to get their fill of a truly French cuisine, ordered crepe suzettes. The delicacy really made a hit with them-—exploding as it was served. Undoubtedly, this is what is meant when people refer to the “French touch in cooking.” = Fd » 3 IFF HOBOS SHOULD knock

Hobos will invade the northeast section of Indianapolis that afternoon trying to locate the best spots for handouts. | And they will end this wandering search with a campfire at the home of Mrs. Adelaide F. Edwards, 3465 N. LaSalle St. This could cause a revival of “Nature Boy.” Incidentally, these “tramps” are members of the Nature Study Club. 2 - . After experimenting with a new hair color rinse, Mary now has a little dog, whose coat is very bright auburn. It’s all in keeping with fashion at least.
