Annual St. Benno Festival Set for Saturday

HE St. Benno Festival, which annually opens the spring season at the Athenaeum Turners, will be Saturday. A little German Band, the Bock (goat) pulling its, beer laden wagon, the steins, blindrobins, Bavarian costumed dancers and fine selection of old-fashioned German dishes will be part of the scene. PTA Plans to Elect New Officers Today

Officers will be elected when the George Washington High School Parent-Teacher Association meets at 7:30 p. m. today. After the election, there will be a panel discussion on the adoption of a system of annual entrance for Indianapolis public schools. Dr. Spencer W. Myers, deputy superintendent of Indianapolis Public Schools, will lead the panel. It will consist of Mrs. Wayne Kern, a parent; Cloyd Julian of the GWHS faculty, and Rita LeGault, a pupil.

31 Hoosiers Named To PTA Committees

HIRTY-ONE parent-teacher leaders of the state will serve on the Indiana planning committee for the 56th annual convention of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers May 19-21 here.

Mrs. Robert F. Shank, general chairman and past regional vice president of the national organization, announced the convention will be attended by 3000 delegates and visitors from all over the country. The sessions will be in the Murat Temple, with the Claypool as the headquarter hotel.
