“CONTEND FOR THE FAITH. WHICH WAS. ONCE FOR ALL DELIVERED UNTO THE SAINTS” =~ °

It is often the cause of confusion to people who do not know how to “rightly divide the ® word of truth” when they read different state ments in the Bible concerning the plan of sal-§ vation. It should be recognized fact that the » éople who lived before Jesus died were then liv-@ ing under the law of Moses, but when Jesus died, the law of Moses ended, and todoy we liveg

must believe in the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:30-30), 2. IF YOU. ARE A BELIVER, you must repent (Acts 3. IF YOU ARE A BELIEVER WHO HAS REPENTED, you must be boptized and wash away your sins, calling upon the name of the Lord (Acts 22:18), 4, IF YOU ARE A NEW CHRISTIAN, or an old one } as for that matter, you must ‘add Christian characteri‘stics “to your life: virtue, knowledge, temperance, patirity (Il Peter 135-11). 5. IF YOU ARE AN ERRING CHILD, you must repent of your sins and pray the bord for forgiveness

The writer of Hebrews, in speaking of the e nd ofthe old law and the beginning of the New @ Testament, was quite clear about it in Hebrews 9:16-17, “For where a testament is, there must @ of necessity be the death of him that made it. For a testament is of force where there hath heen death: for it doth never avail while he that made it liveth.” The New Testament given by Christ did, not go into effect before Jesus died. This is vhy @ we do not live: under the same law of pardon that :

people were under during the earthly lifetime of Jesus. This is also why we find conversions after the death
