Music Scholarship Tryouts Set at IU
Times State Service BLOOMINGTON, Feb. 21 — High school seniors planning music study at Indiana University next fall are invited to try out for university music scholarships Apr. 25 and 26. Students participating in auditions on those dates must have obtained previous admission to, the university. Both admission ap-
plication and the application for a music. scholarship must reach the campus before Mar. 28. Scholarships available range from $100 to $250 a year. Applicants should be prepared to audition from three to six minutes with music of their own choice. Auditions are being held on the same week-end as the high school achievement program contests. Schedules will be arranged so that music scholarship applicants desiring .to compete in the achievement contests may do so.
Veterans to Sponsor Rally for Sen. Taft
A group of Marion County war veterans will sponsor a rally meeting in behalf of U. S. Sen. Robert Taft for President at the Claypool Hotel tonight. Principal speaker will be Charles H. Robertson, chairman of the Taft-for-President Club in Lafayette, Co-chairmen of the Veterans for Taft Committee are William 8. McMaster and John M: Caylor.
