DePauw alumnae are plan: ning booths for a bazaar which will include ‘what-not baskets (made from wooden fish buckets); potted plants, baked goods, needlework, “kitchen sets and “white elephants.” Mrs. Paul E. Butz is the chairman, and her committee includes Mesdames A. Logan Steele, Robert Adair, Paul T. Smith and Richard W.. The. Riley Clinic was the first cerebral palsy clinic to be established in Indiana. It treats 650- patients each year, and at present there are 2000 patients receiving treatment in state clinics, Funds to maintain the clinic are received from Indiana State Welfare, Division of Services for Crippled Children. The IU Medical Center provides space for the center and staffs it with its own neurologists and orthopedics. Since November, 1947, when ald to crippled children was adopted as a project by Alpha Chi Omega, the college women's fraternity has contributed $25,000 in scholarships for doctors, therapists and teachers desiring to take -additional training in care of the cerebral palsied child.
