GROW SALT CRYSTALS IN A FLAT DISH
POUR A SOLUTION
AGNIF\&D s ALT CRYSTAL
: LUTION NER S CRYSTALS FORM
Growing salt crystals in a flat dish is almost like growing a
magic sparkling garden. Anyone can ‘grow” a crystal garden, and it only takes a few days.
First you will need a “flat saucer or dish’ which your Mother

not want again, cracked. Next you will need some porous rocks, a cinder, or even some coal. Place thése in your dish in a rock garden arrangement, Now comes the mixing fun. Put six tablespoons of water, three tablespoons of salt, and three tablespoons of liquid .bluing in a tight jar and shake well. When the salt has disolved, add one tablespoon of ammonia and pour the mixed solution over the stones until they are all wet. Let them: stand a few days until they are completely dry, then add more solution, he water drys the cube-like crystals form. Look at them | magnifying glass. The slower the water evaporates, the {larger the crystals. Make this blue crystal garden for fun. MONDAY-—Wigwagging the Morse Code.
