Drain beéts,. reserving onefourth cup beet liquid, Mix together sugar, salt ‘and cornstarch in saucepan: Add vinegar and beet liquid. Cook,
stirring constantly until thickened and clear. Add beets with butter; heat to serving temperature: sarnish . with chopped hard cooked egg for four,
