MARTIN, sought by the FBI under a warrant charging him with crossing state lines to avoid prosecution, has been identified as the man who attacked a Belchertown, Mass. farmer June 1, 1950. The farmer had been lured from his home by a man who said his car was stalled. While they were taking a tractor down the road, the man drew a pistol and demanded’ the farmer’s money. The farmer attempted to alight from the tractor, but was shot twice by the man who then struck his victim on the head several times with a heavy rock.
