A two-alarm fire today caused about $50,000 damage to 1000 fur coats stored in. Hall-Reid Furriers, Inc, 132 8. Pennsylvania. Flames which started in the cleaning room on the ground floor, were put out before they reached the second floor, where 500 fur coats were stored. Wallace Reid, co-owner of the firm, said the coats on the second floor sustained smoke and water damage, and many of the 500 coats on the ground floor were burned.

The firm also stores furs for other stores in the city, but Mr, Reid said most of the more valus able coats already had been taken out of storage. Some coats in for repair or cleaning may have been among those destroyed, he said,
