Spencer, who left his 21-year-old bride lying in the snow in the driveway of thelr fasionable home and went to bed, was charged with manslaughter today. “The sheriff's warrant was isged after, the 44-year-old trucking executive admitted leaving his wife, Loretta, in the snowdrift where she had fallen Tuesday night. lottery, threw another legal wrench in his long-delayed gambling case today. Thompson asked Judge Harry ©. Chamberlin, Criminal Court 1, to order the return of records and gambling ( equipment seized by Prosecutor Fairchild in a raid last Feb. 27. He charged the raid on his offices at 222 E. Ohio St. was made on a faulty search warrant issued to police by Judge Saul I Rabb of Criminal Court 2. ‘Thompson claimed the ‘warrant was a “subterfuge” to allow the Prosecutor to make the raid after police arrested Thompson for failure to give the proper turn signal and found lottery tickets in his car. Thompson has been under indictment since March on three| gaming charges and a fourth] charge of failing to register his| firm name.
