Plenty of Room in This House

By DEAN H. ROBINSON

The fourth in our current series of five ranch style homes by William ‘A, Griffiths, prominent Detroit designer, is another basementless home done in wood siding with planting boxes in front in either brick or field stone.

The low continuous roof forms a wider overhang by the kitchen and front entrance, allowing plenty of sunlight but no direct glare and making a protected front door.

The living-dining ell, with its natural fireplace provides a spacious and beautiful room for family entertainment. Being in back, it also gives complete privacy and- allows you fo take full advantage of all the hard work you put in on your landscaping or flower garden. A combined kitchen-utility room is in the front of the house with easy access from either the front or the side door, saving the] housewife many extra steps. For economy's sake the heater, room is in the middle of the house| so heat will be evenly divided for! all rooms. It is designed for the new gas or oil furnaces.
