Luncheon
At Kirshbaum Center
THE 60-year and older crowd will be entertained at a 1:30 p. m. dessert luncheon and program Wednesday in the Kirshbaum Center lounge. : Sponsor of the event open to all persons in“the com-
munity who meet the age requirement is the Indianapoliz Section, National Council of Jewish Womén, in co-operation with the Jewish Community Center Association. Entertainment will include a musical program with oldtime songs and games. .
» n » THIS IS THE first of a series of get-togethers for older adults outlined by the council, Members plan to make this a permanent older adults in the city. In addition to a social hour they will sponsor hobby groups—handcraft, knitting, carpentry, dramatics.

movies, musicales, cards, lectures and discussions. “We hope people will meet
new friends and develop new interests,” explains’ Mrs. Lee Gallinger, council’s older adult committee chairman, in charge of ‘arrangements, and Mrs. Walter B. Lichtenstein, council president.

Meeting Scheduled By Club
Meridian Toastmistress Club will meet at 8 p. m. Tuesday at the YMCA for a dinner. “Joy to the World" will be the theme of the program.

WASHINGTON, Dec. 15—Hundreds of packages of new yard goods, varns and sewing material are being packed in an Army warehouse in Ft. Myer, Va., for shipment to the German Youth Agencies as a gift from
the members of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Weighing thousands of, pounds and filling every corner of large shipping crates, these gifts-have come from clubwomen. in Dickinson, N. D.; Lincoln, Neb., Indianapolis, Ind., Pleasant Hill, Mo. Wallace, N. C., Tappahannock, Va. and #$rom hundreds of other places across the country.
