If the party’s to be a lunch-eon-shower, guests can find their places through unusual geal placecards. For example, an umbrella takes half a sheet of seals. { Party Tomorrow At Juvenile Home

By JOAN SCHOEMAKER HE Seventh District Junior Women’s Club is Santa

Claus the year around to the Marion County’ Juvenile Home. Tomorrow they act out the role completely. Members will entertain the girls with a Christmas

party and give them red and gold striped drum boxes filled with candy and cookies made by club members,

Ever since the group organized in 1949, the home has benefited from their year-round projects. Proceeds from rummage sales, magazines and selling Christmas cards and wrappings went to provide some type of equipment for the home. » ” n Xx THE MEMBERS have made $400 since last April toward their project. Already the club has furnished a reception room where parents, case workers and board members can talk with each other and the children.

Slipcover material, draperies, cornice boards, lamps and pictures were all purchased by the women. The books, a few more lamps, plants and bric-a-brac, were donated by members, Recently they added a leather

chair to the previous furnishings.

Mrs. Warren S. Woodall, wife of the superintendent of the center, and Miss Mary Lou Hill made the slipcovers and dra-

peries. = -

Hint Women Facing Extended

Youth Which Will

EW YORK, Dec. 12 (UP)—American

women are heading for a period of ex-

{ended youth which will’ far outlast that

of their prematurely aging husbands, a

Hungarian-born skin specialist predicts. While women continue to find new ways to keep their youthful complexions and figures, Dr. Erno Laszlo says, the men just become more preoccupied with earning money. “Men here don’t know what is going on in lite,” said the skin specialist, who has. treated the skins of famous actresses and society women here for 12 years. “They haven't time. They don't even know that for a long time in this country man is slave and woman dominates him. He makes the money and spends it on her.” This philosophy is strictly incidental to Dr. Laszlo's main interest in life—keeping wrinkles off feminine faces as long as possible. La EVEN THE TENSIONS of today, which Dr. Laszlo admitted have caused more women to

have “hysterical skins,” won't seriously slow down their march to longer loveliness, in his opinion. “A woman's skin is a barometer of her emotions,” he explained. “I use the term ‘hysterical skin’ to refer to skin ‘that is first too dry and then too oily.” Skin that is too oily, which Dr. Laszlo calls “plus skin” usually belongs to hyper-nervous people, he said. “Dry skins, or minus skins as I call them, belong to people who by and large have had a calmer life,” he said. But he firmly believes that as women dis-

cover beauty preparations which overcome these,

skin defects, they also will begin to eliminate severe emotional disturbances.
