WASHINGTON, Dec. 8 (UP)— Defense Department ane nounced today that 55,000 men will be drafted in February for the Army and Marine Corps. Of this total, 41,000 will be assigned to the Army and 14,000 to the Marine Corps. This brings to 849,330 the total number of men called up by Selective Service since July 10, 1950. Including those to be called in February, Army inductions total 782,000 and Marine Corps 67,330. The February, call represents a drop of 4650 from the January total of 59,650. Of the January inductees, 48,000 will be assigned to the Army and 11,650 to the Marine Corps.
