Aliens Ruled Out For State Jobs
Indiana Attorney General J. Emmett MeManamon today barred- aliens from working for the state and rejected mutual beauty culture licensing plans between Indiana and other states. In two official opinions, MecManamon ruled it would be illegal for the state personnel bureau to hire displaced persons and other aliens for state positions. The bureau said many applied and were being considered because higher industrial salaries made it difficult to fill many state jobs.
