‘Not Wasted’
Scripture: “Wheresoever this Gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world, this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her.” Mark 14:10.
THE HALL of Fame of Christian Faith is open to everyone. Look whom Jesus immortalizes: One who gives a cup of cold water in His Name; a widow who drops two mites into the collection basket; and (in Mark 4) one whose life has been wasted, her womanhood degraded but now is immortalized by- a box of ointment with which she annoints Jesus. Jesus had a.strange sense of values. To him ‘the intrinsic value of the gift is not most important. What gave value to the glass of cold water were
