By United Press HAMMOND, Ind. Nov. 24—A 14-month-old boy was burned to death today and his mother was injured seriously when fire destroyed their one-and-a-half-story frame hoyse in. Hammond. David Lee Lundsford died in his crib in the upper story of the house. His mother, Mrs. Ima Jean Lundsford, 20, who was asleep on the first floor when flames broke out, plunged through a window to safety, - ? She suffered cuts, bruises and shock. Her condition. was described as “serious” at St. Margaret's Hospital. Assistant Fire Chief James Burke said the fire was touched off by an explosion of an oil stove on the first floor. Mrs. Lunsford’'s husband, Osgood, ‘was at work at the Inland Steel Co., East Chicago, at the time of the fire. 2
