Shoots Self in Foot
TERRE HAUTE. Nov. 29 (UP) Cpl. Richard Kirk, 20. accidentally shot himself in the left foot today while inspecting a pistol at his father's home. Doctors said he may lose the foot.
The soldier was home on furlough from March Air Force base in Riverside. Cal. He was taken ‘to St. Anthony's hospital here and will be transferred to the Army hospital at Camp Atterbury,

Two-Year Contract
PLYMOUTH, Ind... Nov. 19 (UP)---About 75 drivers and shop workers of the Indiana Motor Bus Co. yesterday accepted a new two-year contract. including a cost-of-living escalator clause and a wage increase. The agreement was reached two days before a threatened walkout. The new pact, retroactive to Oct. 9, must be approved {by the Wage Stabilization Board.

An East Side woman, injured in an accident involving a police car Sept. 2, today sued the City of Indianapolis for $60,000. Vera Miller, 37, of 801 N. DeQuincy St., charged she received a broken right leg and right arm in the accident at 10th St. and Riley Ave. : The suit charges the car, driven by Patrolman Harry W. Woirhaye, was traveling 4550 miles an hour on the wrong side of the street when it smashed into the left side of a car driven by James R. Tabor, 34, of Mor-
ristown. The woman Was A passenger in the Tabor car.
Student. Loses Hand In Blast at Purdue
LAFAYETTE, Nov. 19 (UP) Doctors at St. Anthonys Hospital here have amputated the
left hand of Ralph M. Potter, 23, a Purdue University graduate student. injured in an explosion as he did research work in physical chemistry. Mr. Potter. Mt. Vernon. Wash, was reported in good condition, His hand was mangled Saturday afternoon when a glass con rainer filled with an intermediate compound for molecular structure study exploded. University officials said Mr. Potter had prepared the compound according to published procedure.

‘Runaway’ Father Prosecutor Frank Fairchild acted today to return a father of three children from Springfield, 0. to face trial here on charges of failure to support his family. Prosecutor's investigators Pat McLaughlin and Charles Russell left today with a warrant for the arrest of Marshall Clay Cochran, 25. He iz charged with being $750 in arrears. Hong Kong and Macao traders are doing: a lively business in the records, banned by the Chinese Reds as ‘imperialistic weapons” and “luxuries.” On the black market, Patti Page's ‘‘Tennessee Waltz" recording led the hit parade, selling for $19 each, with “My Foolish Heart,” “My Heart Cries for You" and “Onee in a While” at $7 per record. »
