Plane With 23 Gls Forced Down
TERRE HAUTE, Nov. 15 (UP) —A chartered DC-3 plane with 23 GIs aboard ran out of fuel and made a forced landing in an alfalfa field four miles southwest of here last night. No one was hurt and the plane was undamaged. Civilian” Pilot Ray Beatty, San Antonio, said he decided to try a landing when he noticed the fuel was low. He said he was transferring the 23 enlisted men from Lawton, Okla., to Aberdeen, Md. The soldiers were put on a train to continue their trip and Mr. Beatty,
