Gives Up Demand The United Nations has given up its demand for the western front city of Kaesong, three miles south of the 38th Parallel, and is standing on its proposal, to base the cease-fire line on the battle line existing at the time ‘an armistice agreement iseready {for signing. | The Communists, on the other hand, demand that the cease-fire ‘line be fixed now at the present ‘battle line. They have added a. provision that the cease-fire line ‘would move with the battle line, jup to the time of the armistice |signing, but the United Nations icomplained this was too vague.
