of 8500 tons of coal today in pro-
test to the sale of their companyowned houses. Housewives living in the Allegheny Valley town of Harmarville appeared at the entrances of the Consumer Coal Co. mine there this morning and 1200 men refused to dare their lines, Roving banks of women spread to two nearby mines of other at Harwick and Dorseyville in the afternoon and another 700 men refused to enter the pits.
