School Teacher Who Fled Reds To Visit Here
Anna, Kasenkina, the school teacher who escaped the Communists by leaping from a fourthstory window, will come to Indianapolis tomorrow to meet the press at a luncheon. Relating her spectacular escape from the Communists in 1948, Miss Kasenkina will be the featured guest at an American Way of Life presentation in the Murat Theater Monday. After the press luncheon at the Claypool Hotel, she will travel to Bloomington where she is scheduled to participate in the Armistice Day observance at Indiana University. She will return to Indianapolis for four appearances at the Murat Theater at 10:30 a. m., 1:30, 4 and 8 p.m. Monday. The first three shows are for school children. She will be featured along with a dramatic sketch, “Flight into Freedom,” to be presented by the Indiana University Theater group. In addition, there will be a display of foreign electrical products, many from behind the Iron Curtain, which will be contrasted with comparable American products.
