Earl "W, Mikels Services Slated For Tomorrow

Masonic graveside rites for Farl W. Mikels will be in Memorial Park tomorrdw, following 3 p.om. services in Flanner & Buchanan- Mertuary. Mr. Mikels died yesterday at home. 4639 Hillside Ave. He was a production manager for Diamond, Chain Co. and had been with the firm since coming to Indianapolis in 1921. He was born in Norman 52 years ago. Mr. Mikels. was ‘a past master of Broad. Ripple Masonic and Eastern Star Lodges. a member of Scottish Rite, a charter member of Broad Ripple American « Legion Post and a past president of the Indiana Materials Handling Association. He ‘was - honorary moderator the last two years of North Baptist Church. Rurviving are the wife, Clara; two children, Earl W. Jr. and Miss Carol Joyce Mikels; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Mikels; two brothers, Wendell, Indianapolis, and Robert, Palm Springs, Cal., and three sisters, Mrs. Thelma Auble, Compton, Cal.; Mrs. Bessie Bramlett, Beech Grove, and Mrs. Peggy Lee, Indianapolis

Death of ‘Doctor Labeled Suicide

' NAHANT, Mass, Nov. 3 (UP) —A doctor committed suicide by taking morphine during “a fit of depression” over publicity concerning the theft of $18,000 from his home by three baby-sitters. A medical examiner's report Albert H. Covner. 51, whose body was found last Saturday in Reading Woods, injected morphine into his left arm. Medical examiner Thomas P. Devlin returned his findings late yesterday after receiving a pathological report from Harvard Medical School where Dr. Covner’s vital organs were examined. Dr. Covner's body was found by three youthful hunters 11 days after a baby-sitter, Roberta MeCauley, 15, and two girl friends stole the money from a strongbox in his home to finance a New York spending spree. = ” = MRS.
