Police Officer’ $ Widow Dies
Widow of a veteran Indianapolis police officer, Mrs. Nelle Corcoran,. 72, died Wednesday at home, 340 N. Arsenal Ave. Services will be held at 8:30 a. m. tomorrow in the Feengy & Feeney Funeral Home and at 9 a. -m. in Holy Cross Catholic Church. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery. Mrs. Corcoran was preceded in
death by her late husband, Tim. . othy,
and her son, Ned,’ former local attorney. Survivors include a daughter, Margaret; three sisters, Miss Catherine Gaughan, Mrs. Frances Tovntz, and Mrs. Elizabeth Barnard, all of Los Angeles, and

of all Hoosier colleges and universities, adopted the resolution yesterday at the close of their two-day convention at Turkey Run State Park. They recommended that Congress and Presfdent Truman reject UMT. The resolution said:

sound, it is open to serious moral and social criticism and it in no existing |
way strengthens the

armed forces. Rather, it aggravates the already critical manpower situation. The conference believes that adequate manpower for the armed services should be obtained by the present selective service system.

While he was awaiting trial, he was arrested again on Oct. 27 on the same charge.
