Head Over Heels—

Play Is Partly Responsible For ‘Better Self, Msgr, Sheehy

EDITOR'S FOREWORD: This is the fourth of a series of six articles hy the head of the Religious Education Department of Catholic University of Ameyica, Washington, D. (.,, Mansignor Sheehy. These articles are taken from HEAD OVER HEELS, A GUIDE FOR THE BETTER SELF, copyright 1951, by Maurice S. Sheehy with the permission “of the publisher, Farrar Straus & Young, Inc.

By MONSIGNOR MAURICE SN. SHEEHY

different flags were flving ‘sailed to destroy oil refineries in Java.

daring. Four men did not return from it, -

Pilots who had a few moments before dropped their deadly missiles rushed for the volley -ball courts, The scene might have been familiar on any playground or college campus far from the scene of battle. Enid Dinnis, in Mystics All, makes the comment that God Who made the kitten also taught it to play. The Better Self is partly the result of play energies properly motivated and _ properly moderated. x = = td FOR SEVERAL centuries eertain religious groups frowned upon all forms of play.
