Warren Central Is Overflowing
An increase of approximately 130 students has raised the enrollment of Warren Central High School to 1170-—about 200 more students than the school was built .to hold. This year Warren Central, is operating on a staggered day. The new arrangements makes possible an eight- period day in place of last year's six periods. Classes begin at 7:40 a. m. for senior high pupils and dismiss at 2:40 p. m. Seventh and eighth grades attend 10 a. m.-4 p. m. On the old six-hour plan, 210 classes a day is all the 36-room school could hold. The new eight-hour plan allows 280 classes a day. Actually, only 240 classes are held this year to give flexibility to the school program. Students of grades 9-12 can partly make up absences and; tardies” during periods seven and eight.
