‘Super’ Coon Dog Killed by Car,
Asks $7000
NEWPORT, Minn., Oct. 11 Hubert Boller said today that his
coon dog, Spot, was one of the
finest animals in the world and worth -at least “$1000 cash money."
And like coon dog men the world over he's backing up his claim to the $1000 animal. MF. Boller claims a delivery man for the Northwestern Bell Telephone Co. ran over Spot and the dog had to be destroved. He filed suit for $1000 in Ramsey County District Court, » n Ed
MR. BOLLER said Spot originally was trained for hunting
was 30 versatile, Mr. Boller said, that when he came to Minnesota he learned how to hunt Minnesota
coones,
“He wasn't just a good Ken-
tucky coon hunter he could hunt Minnesota coons too. “This,” claimed Mr. Boller,
made him a $1000 dog.”
He explained that coons in the north weigh up to 60 pounds compared to 16 pounds for southern coons, and a dog must be Det-! ter to hunt up here
Right-O LONDON, Oct. 11 (UP) English actresses just aren't using their “natural resources” right, a British | film designer said today. “We underestimate the power of the bosom,” Julie Harris said on her return from Hollywood. ii She said it isn't true that English film stars don't - have what made Jane Russell and Lana Turner household words. “The American doesn't underestimate it, she reported. “And so a pretty bosom there helps to sell everything from candy to refrigerators.” |
