This included 2639 donations made through blood donor centers then being opened at military camps and installations. During the third week of September, 30,668 persons made blood donations. Of these 6175 were military personnel or civilian employees donating through the blood centers operated by the |Army, Navy and Air Force. | In the.final week of Septem|ber, which saw almost 47,000 donations, the donations through the military centers climbed to 14,673 pints. The rest was obtained by the Red Cross or by co-operating private banks reporting through the Red Cross. If the next three weeks show a comparable increase, there will be 75,000 donors a week passing through blood centers during November.
