Those who sneer at some of us, call us “old-fashioned” and ‘“mossbacks that are holding back the surge of progress” will look about themselves and wonder if they have progressed so very far. As I look about me at some of the people who have thrown religion out of their lives and seldom if ever attend any church service, it does appear that, even now, they have approached the very brink of personal disaster and chaos.

Permit me to ask you a very searching question, Which is making the greater contribution to the growth and development of health, character, and personality, the religious work of the church school, or fishing, playing golf, or buying your groceries on Sunday morning? And you will remember {hat the silly complaint that people have no other time for golf, fishing, and picnicking except Sunday morning is a naked lie. Most every one of us have both Saturday and Sunday free and every evening in the week as well. Besides, in summer’ it is light for a good long time. a a ”
