Arcadio VFW Hall Fire Loss Is $20,000

Times State Service ARCADIA, Oct. 5 — Firemen from four communities fought a $20,000 blaze in the VFW hall here for four hours early today. By noon, they still hadn't determined the cause of the fire or the small explosion that preceded it. 2 . Times State Service LAFAYETTE. Oct. 5-- State police today reported a Monticello rooming-house operator was fined.on.a.-guilty plea after raiders found two slot machines in ihs establishment. County and state officers found 5-cent and 25-cent slots in Ray L. Dick's place on Lake Freeman, when they entered yesterday on a search warrant. He was fined a total of $33 in Delphi court.
