’ By United Press NEW YORK, Sept. 256 —~Mentally counting their World Series money already, New York's pennant-poised

By United BOSTON, Sept. 25—A worried band of Brooklyn Dodgers, who can feel the Giants’ hot breath blowing on their necks from only 2% games behind, arrived here today tb open a four-game “make or break” series against the Boston Braves. x And the first thing they learned was that 21-game winner Warren Spahn would face them in one game of tonight's twi-night doubleheader. Rookie Jim Wilson, who has beén pitching well in recent days, will: shoot for his seventh win against the Dodgers in the other game. Dodger Manager Charley Dressen is ready with unpredictable Ralph Branca (13-9) and surprising Carl Erskine (16-10). What the Dodgers need is four victories out of their last seven games to clinch the flag.

AND THEY figure they'll have to win those games, too, because they can't count on the red-hot Giants to lose any of their last four. : So Manager Dressen figured his pitching out this way today: After Branca and Erskine tonight, he'll come back with rookie Clem Labine in tomorrow's game and disappointing Don Newcombe in the
