Brake Pedal Bendix Says
Mr. Stoll described the new braking device as “the most re o-~ luticnary advance in automobile control since the advent of fourwheel brakes.” He said is was developed at the Bendix plant here. < The unit consists mechanically of a power “cylinder, a piston with a built-in control valve and a hydraulic section including a brakefluid reservoir, eliminating the need for the conventional master cylinder. ‘Motorists driving cars with the new unit, Stoll claimed, will find brake operation almost effortless.

School Remains Open After Polio Death
Classes went on as usual today at University Heights School despite death of a sixth-grade pupil from polio. Ronald James Galvin, 1, died yesterday in his home on Thompson Rd. He was stricken after attending school all ‘day Thursday, apparently in good health. Principal Hugh Thompson said health officials -of Marion County and State Boards advised keeping the school open unless more illness develops. Parents were asked to- keep at home any child who seems to be ill. Each child at school will be
