Reason to Get Excited ] “Mr. Fuller has reason to be excited about the reactions he was getting on his Geiger counter,” said Dr, Charlees Dice, head of the Indiana University geology department and state geologist. The scientists also stated that uranium deposits are found in black shale. While no radio-ac-tive materials have been found in shale deposits in Indiana to date, they are certain to be there in {small quantities. These radio-ac-tive ‘materials would be of low grade and not commercially profitable to mine. To date no fissionable material has been found in Indiana, but it may be soon, and there's s possibility that it may be on the Fuller farm.
