For heroism in the Korean conflict, Sgt. John W, Hall of 2979 8. Flemming St. has been awarded the Bronze Star with “vy” device. Sgt. Hall's platoon nearing the top of an enemy held hill were suddenly subjected to a volley of small arms, automatic weapons and grenade fire. As the unit
