Slain Woman Victim of Flogging

CUSSETA, Ga., Aug. 22 (UP) |—The nude body of a shapely young woman who apparently {had been flogged from head to {foot with a strap presented police with a #irst class mystery today. Officers not only had ‘“‘absolutely no theory” as to who the killer was: they also were unable to identify the body or establish the cause of death. The body was found yesterday in a deep sand pit beside a rural road. Sheriff N, E. Wright said the attractive brunette, about 21 years old, appeared to have been dead about 48 hours. No clothing or any other clues were found in the ravine. Sheriff Wright believed she was stripped and lashed by a “sadist” who drove her to the pit and dumped out the body after her death. He
