TUESDAY, AUG. 14, 1051 ___ 7 Individual Projects,

Funds for the proposed greenhouse at the Indiana Girls School being spon-

adel, PN, sored by the Garde Club and Mrs. Palmer of Indiana will be partially Park Ave, and raised through individual projdaughter of Mr. ects in the six districts, W. Grear, T7700 This plan was decided yesGs - terday at a luncheon meeting of the greenhouse project com- - mittee of the state organiza-

tion at the school. Each district director wil] be in charge of the project in her locale and will be assisted by the district representative on. the greenhouse project committee.

It is estimated the building will cost $8000. The proposed location is on the north side of the grounds near the power plant so additional costs of piping heat a long distance may be eliminated. Anyone wishing to contribute to the project may send donations to Mrs Clayton Adams, 5737 Lowell Ave. Green Thumb Garden Club of Indianapolis sparked the plan for the building following its work in gardening with the girls in 1949. Its three-fold purpose is to: ONE—teach the girls a new vocation; TWO-—provide rehahilitation from a physical and mental standpoint, and THREE -—provide flowers for the school self.

SITE-SEEING—Mrs. Russel Alley, Greensbur Baldus, Ft. Wayne, and Mrs. Robert M. Jackson, bers, look over the proposed site for a greenhouse at the Indiana Girls School.

Sheer Pleasure— Avoid Flimsy Summer Slips

By ALICFA HART THIS IS the season for sheer enjoyment—and many women are prone to take this literally, For the sake of coolness, they grow incautious about both modesty and appearance, going out in public either with no slips or with slips inadequate for their purpose. If thin dresses are the backbone of your summer wardrobe, it's a good idea to check your petticoat drawer to make certain these gowns are receiving the support they need, » ” ” DOUBLE thicknesses of material are your best bet for preventing shine-through effects. Shadow-panel siips—those with double material running down the front—have long been standbys for women who are fastidious concerning small details of their appearance. : This season fashion is conspiring, too, to prevent these unattractive under-sheer effects. There are available attractive taffeta petti-

coats, some of which are lined in complementary or contrasting colors, These provide demure

cover-up as well as a gentle rustling when you walk.

In all the world of manufactured products, there is nothing more difficult to wait for—once you have decided to own it —than a Cadillac car,

If it is to be your first Cadillac, it is doubtless the fulfillment of a long-cherished-dream—and it is hard to wait for one’s heart's desire, once it is so close at hand.

And if it is to be a replacement for your o/d love— well, : experience has taught you how consistently and completely ! the good things come from Cadillac—and your curiosity is a force to reckon with!

To make it worse, temptation is all about vou. Dawn ; the street and around the corner are cars to be had almost

other cars may be had so readily—while there is some delay in delivery of a Cadillac.

It is because so many wonderful people, like vourself, want only Cadillac—and will accept no compromise.

If we already have your order—turn a deaf ear to those who would have you compromise your preference for the sake of earlier delivery. And if you want a Cadillac, but have not yet placed your order, come in and do so. We will talk with you frankly about delivery, so you may know about what to anticipate, Remember—there is only one car which is recognized

wherever highways lead as the Standard of the World— and that car js Cadillac.
