Trouble, Trouble, Bradley U. Has Plenty of It

PEORIA, Ill. Aug. 9—Another scandal shocked the Bradley University campus today. The president of the, board of trustees disclosed the ‘misuse of $20,000 in school funds. Board President George Luthy announced that the university had discovered that a former employed appropriated school money for his own use during a period of three to four years. Mr. Lauthy said the employee took $15,000 out of endowment funds and pocketed another $5000 over a three to four-year period in overcharges on real estate loans. The case was discovered early this year, Luthy said, but the board’ of trustees hasn't decided whether to press charges. The employee was dismissed last year. Luthy’s disclosure followed .by two weeks the revelation that seven Bradley basketball players were involved in attempts to “fix” the score of games.
