BULLETIN NEW YORK, Aug. 7—Major League: club owners cut the list of candidates for the commissioner's job to about 12 today but said they don’t expect to elect * A. B. Chandler’s successor for another month. The club owners met for four hours this morning. National League Publicity Chief Charles Segar announced, “There will be no commissioner elected today.” But President Horace Stoneham of the New York Giants said, “There were about 25 names suggested by the screening committee. We have cut the list at least in half.”
