Recently, the National Institute of Cleaning and Dyeing has found that an entire garment may be ruined by the breakdown of “bonded - wool” shoulder pads, The shoulder pads that cause, such damage are made from wool fibers, not spun or woven, but| cemented or bonded together with a thin film of a synthetic rubber. This is why they are “called “bonded-wool” shoulder pads. Suits and coats have been showing evidence of .fabric damage.
