| WASHINGTON, Lr John V. Beamer, Wabash Republican, received one critical

letter today regarding his efforts polis, get Hoosier newspaperman William N. Oatis out of a Czech -

prison. Written on old-fashioned ruled paper, it was signed: 0. G. Overcash, 511 N. Dill 8t, Muncie, Ind. “1 prefer trading with Czechoslovakia to Franco Spain,” the letter read. “I have read the trials of the three Slovak bishops by the Czech government. Also the war conspirators before the court of the Czechoslovak people and I hope the Czechs will publish the Oatis trial. “Stop bragging about killing Korean women and children with our jellied gas bombs. What is more stupid than war.” Since this letter was the only critical one he received among dozens from Indiana and throughout the country congratulating him on his efforts to free Mr. Oatis, Mr. Beamer took the matter up with Rep. Ralph Harvey, New Castle Republican, because Muncie is in Mr. Harvey's 10th District.
