go DAYTON, O., June 20-—The Air Force announced today that it has succeeded in parachuting a 9%%-ton bulldozer from a cargo plane—the heaviest load ever successfully dropped. ; The air materiel command said the bulldozer ~ was dropped in recent tests from a Fairchild C-119 flying boxcar with the use of pilot and extraction ~ These two ‘chutes pull: the vehicle from the ‘plane, and then six 100-foot-diameter chutes take over and lower it to the ground.
