Missionary Goes On Chaplain Duty
Dr. Theodore R. Leen of the United Christian Missionary Society staff leaves today for extended active duty as a chaplain with the U. 8. Air Force, During World War II, Dr. Leen served with the Air Force for about five years and was a member of the staff of the chaplain school. He has been national director of evangelism for the society for the past year. Dr. Leen holds the rank of lieutenant colonel. | He has been assigned as wing chaplain over 22 chaplains at Sheppard Air Force Base, Wichita Falls, Tex., beginning Sunday. Dr. C. The amusement area at Pendleton Pike Drive-In ‘Theater, 9200 Pendleton Pike, is the center of a legal battle today between its operators and the Marfon County Plan Commission, First, the amusement devices were condemned by county electrical inspectors as unsafe. But the theater manager, William T. Powell, agreed to remedy the situation.

came up with a new objection yesterday. It discovered the location of the amusement area was in violation of the zoning ordinance. This action brought the operation to a standstill. The merry-go-round, airplahe ride and other devices will remain idle until July 10 when the Board of Zoning Appeals will rule on a zoning variance request. The theater itself will continue to operate. The situation was brought to a
